"Mom's Toy Closet"
This is a little watercolour sketch of a childhood memory.
When I was in kindergarten we learned how to tie shoes. I caught on quickly, but felt that I needed to practice to be sure that I had it. So when I got home I went into my mother's closet and tied all of her shoes. My parents found me in there with a big pile of shoes with all the laces tied!
I confess that these days I'm too addicted to technology. I miss those times when all I needed to keep me happy and occupied for a couple of hours was a closet full of shoes! When life stresses you out, take a moment to see life through the eyes of a child.
